Our client, a leading international and offshore law, corporate and fiduciary and consulting services company based in Jersey, is looking to hire an information security manager.
The successful candidate will join our client’s information security & risk department, playing a pivotal role in in safeguarding their information systems against cybersecurity threats and ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and best practices. You will be responsible for Azure and Microsoft 365 Security Management. Enhance our client’s cloud security posture by leveraging a solid foundation in Azure security fundamentals and controls, coupled with practical experience in the Microsoft 365 Defender platform. While Azure certificates are an asset, strong practical understanding and hands-on experience is of paramount importance. You will serve as the Azure security expert, providing support to IT teams regarding Azure service development and infrastructure changes. Oversee the implementation and management of the information and security programmes, including Azure and Microsoft security solutions. Conduct regular security assessments and audits to ensure ongoing compliance with ISO27001 standards, including governance, control monitoring and continuous improvement of information security management system (ISMS). Develop and maintain information security policies and procedures in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements across all jurisdictions in which our client operates. Support information security incidents, including investigation, documentation and coordination with relevant stakeholders. Liaise with clients, internal and external auditors and regulatory bodies during information security audits and reviews and develop and deliver training on the latest developments in information security training.
To be suitable for this role a degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity or a similar field is advantageous. You should hold professional qualifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Certified Information Security Manager or the equivalent. Have proven experience in information security management, particularly in a professional services or a legal firm's environment. Have expertise in Azure and Microsoft security solutions, with a strong understanding of cloud security best practices. Demonstrable experience with ISO27001 governance, control monitoring and ISMS management is an asset. Strong knowledge of information security principles, frameworks and standards. Possess excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across global offices and manage a geographically dispersed team. You will need to be a strategic thinker with the ability to translate complex security requirements into clear and actionable strategies and be highly analytic and detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
